Sparklesaurus (Ottawa dreampop)

Like glitter-infused jelly on toast, Ottawa’s Sparklesaurus spreads their shimmering sounds. The sounds can be described as living room dream pop – pairing the emotional rawness of garage with the lush tonalities of glam, set in a low-lit, carpeted living room.

GINNY (Ottawa eerie-country)

“GINNY is the latest band formed in the nation’s capital with members of a bunch of other great bands. Fronted by vocalist Lesley Marshall (Bonnie Doon), guitarist Catriona Sturton (ex-Plumbtree), and bassist Kristy Nease (Area Resident), GINNY’s haunting country styling arrives just in time as we flirt with the return of spring but keep being reminded of the harshness of winter.” – Eric Scharf, OSBX

Keturah Johnson (Ottawa heavy soul)

Keturah Johnson is an artist who traverses the deep caverns of her mind through music. Since 2009, she has made a name for herself in Ottawa making music that resonates with audiences of varied tastes. Her experiences coming up through Ottawa’s music scene as a solo artist has helped propel her to new heights as a musician, and have afforded her the opportunity to play in renowned bands such as Hilotrons and Little Scream.
