The Ottawa Art Gallery is turning 30 in 2018 and it has two big ways it’s celebrating. First is the completion of the gallery’s lengthy expansion, a new building with five floors of programmable space. The space will feature a dedicated gallery for the Firestone Collection of Canadian art, changing galleries, terraces and even studios and café space.

Second is Àdisòkàmagan, Nous connaître un peu nous-mêmes, We’ll all become stories, which will be spanning three floors of the gallery. This landmark exhibition is looking over 6,500 years of art making in the Ottawa- Gatineau region.

The exhibit will feature a 300-page catalogue and be the inaugural exhibition for the space, running from its open on April 28 to September 16, 2018. The exhibit tells the rich history of art in Ottawa, covering 193 works by 181 artists.
